About Patricia Lucas. Patricia Lucas writes freelance from a wild, marshy corner of Madison, Wisconsin. She is a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate with a degree in natural resources journalism, and writes technical documents, news and features, press releases, outreach publications, fiction, memoir, poetry, and essay. Nonfiction topics range from economic history to agriculture to national parks management. Patricia has attended writing workshops with the UW Division of Continuing Education, the University of Iowa Summer Writing Festival, and the Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts.
